Extensive Large Hole Repair
At Rugmaster we receive a variety of repair jobs, some being as large as weaving metre long areas back onto rugs, and some being as small as simply securing the ends of a rug. Nevertheless, at Rugmaster we use the term extensive repairs to refer to the jobs we receive that might encompass more work than others. Such jobs will either be dealt with by our UK team and in some extreme cases they may have to be sent to our workshops abroad.
An example of a job received that we classify as extensive repairs is presented below. This is a large Antique Tabriz rug, its age is easily around 150 years. This rug had witnessed extensive damage through a variety of different factors. A few of the contributing factors to this rug's extensive damage were; flood damage, being left unattended, caused the very fibres of the rug to rot and eventually break off causing a large hole. Another factor was moth damage which had caused severe threadbare in various places of the rug. However, this was not a large task for our UK team as they managed to revitalise the rug and bring it back to full health.
